On August 31, 2011, Embassy – Canada’s Foreign Policy Newspaper published an article that I wrote about about cases of Canadians losing their NEXUS pass.  My article “Speed bumps in the Nexus lane” is based on experiences in my practice.

There are many cases of the Canada Border Services Agency (“CBSA”) stopping a Canadian at the border for all the right reasons.  There are other cases of CBSA treating a good person badly.

Same holds true for the United States Customs and Border Protection (“USCBP”).  There are cases of Canadians being treated badly for no good reason.  There are examples of Canadians losing their NEXUS pass for having an apple or muffin at Toronto Pearson airport.
